Ski rental in Ischgl - Questions & Answers

For many skiers, the question arises whether it makes any sense at all to still buy your own skis or if you are not better off borrowing or renting skis. After all, they need to be transported to the holiday destination somehow and also require storage space back home all year long. Those who go on skiing holidays infrequently, don't necessarily need to have their own winter sports equipment.

What benefits are there to renting skis?

Thanks to our service centre you'll always get optimally prepared skis. This means that your skis or a snowboard will always be freshly waxed, sharpened and polished. You will only get the latest, cutting-edge models by leading manufacturers from us. You can also switch to a different model to try out at short notice. In addition, you don't have to transport your gear to your holiday destination yourself any more, or store it at home. If you want, you can even drop off your skis at our ski depot at the lower terminus of the Silvretta and don't need to take them back to your accommodation any more.

When does it pay off to rent skis?

Those who don't do much skiing, i.e. do not spend more than 14 days on the slopes per winter, are definitely better served and save money by renting skis. Don't forget that if you have your own skis they also need to be serviced annually. Apart from that, renting also gives you the option of switching skis when the conditions change or you want to try out something new. And don't forget that you will always only get the latest and premium material from us.

Should we rent our skis at home or better locally in the ski area?

Of course, you can also rent your skis back home if you have the opportunity to do so. Do keep in mind, however, that we as specialists for winter sports have a larger selection available and also have all different models available in several versions. Furthermore, we can test the material directly on site and thus help you choose the correct ski. You also don't have to take your own equipment with you and worry about transporting it.

Which models can you rent at Sport Adler?

We have a wide range of different skis to choose from right next to the terminus of the Silvretta cable car. We have forgiving skis for beginners as well as sporty models for ambitious skiers or the very latest for absolute skiing freaks. Freeride skis for blissful days in deep snow are of course available as are Racecarvers for those little racing moments in between. You can even switch between different models should you want to.

Are snowboards also available for rent in Ischgl?

Of course Sport Adler also has snowboards for rent. From many different models we'll find the right board for beginners as well as the advanced, regardless of whether you're heading for the half-pipe, the piste or into powder snow heaven. Of course, we also have equipment suitable for children to rent.

Is it possible to also rent the boots to go with your skis and snowboards?

Yes, of course that is also possible. We have the correct ski boots and snowboard boots for big and small feet in stock. After the boots are returned, they are always cleaned and disinfected so that everyone can be sure that the boots they rent are clean.

Do you have skis for children or teenagers for rent, as well?

Of course we also have skis or snowboards available for children to rent. The necessary boots and suitable helmets are also available from our ski rental in Ischgl.

Is it possible to drop off the skis at a ski depot?

We understand that after skiing you want to head straight for après-ski, without having to keep an eye on your skis while enjoying yourself. And honestly, who likes to carry their gear around or board a packed ski bus with it? You can easily avoid this by making use of our depot at the lower terminus of the Silvretta cable car. The next morning you can simply pick up your equipment again.
